About this policy
Ztrem (Pty) Ltd (Ztrem, we or us) is an independent South African software company developing games, applications and digital solutions.
Demidoku is developed by Ztrem. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the Android game, including data kept on your device, sharing you choose and information you provide when contacting us. The Android application identifier is za.co.ztrem.demidoku.
Information kept on your device
Demidoku stores your normal and Daily puzzles, placed pieces and other marks, elapsed times, lives and mistakes, settings and presentation choices on your device. It also keeps completion results, personal records, Daily history, streaks and achievements, together with a previous valid save that may help recover progress.
An optional nickname is stored locally and is not included in shared results. Your device’s date and time are used for Daily Challenges and local records. These records allow you to resume play and review your progress. Bundled sound effects and music are played locally; the game does not record audio.
Accounts, online features and analytics
You can play offline without creating an account. The game does not include cloud saves, online leaderboards, analytics or automatic crash reporting. It does not automatically send your saved gameplay information to Ztrem.
The game does not request access to your contacts, physical location, camera, microphone or advertising identifier.
Advertising and purchases
The current Android version contains no advertising and offers no in-app purchases, including a permanent Remove Ads purchase. There are no subscriptions or gameplay paywalls. The game does not collect payment details or purchase records.
If advertising, an optional permanent ad-removal purchase or online services are introduced, this policy will be updated to explain the information involved, the providers used and the choices available to you.
Sharing you choose
If you choose Share, Demidoku passes a result summary to Android’s sharing tools so that you can choose a receiving app. If sharing is unavailable, the summary can be copied to the clipboard.
The summary can include the puzzle mode or Daily date, board size, difficulty, elapsed time, mistakes, hints, lives and replay status. It does not include your nickname or the puzzle solution. Opening the sharing tools does not automatically publish the result.
You decide whether and where to send the text. Clipboard services and receiving apps handle it under their own privacy practices.
Local retention, backups and deletion
Game progress and settings remain in local app storage until replaced during play, removed through your device’s storage controls or handled by the operating system. A new puzzle does not erase all settings, records or recovery data.
Demidoku permits Android-managed app backups. Depending on your device and account settings, app data may be backed up or restored by your device provider. Ztrem does not operate a cloud-save service for the game.
To remove local Demidoku data, open Android Settings > Apps > Demidoku > Storage (or Storage & cache) > Clear storage / Clear data, or uninstall the app. Menu names vary by device. This removes local progress, settings, nickname, records and the local recovery save. There is no in-app full-data reset or export facility.
Removing app data or uninstalling does not necessarily remove independent device backups or information you have shared or sent by email. Manage backup copies through your device or account’s backup settings. Ztrem cannot restore deleted progress from an online account.
Support and feedback
When you contact support@ztrem.co.za, we receive your email address, message and any attachments or other information you choose to provide. We use this information to respond to your enquiry, investigate problems and improve the game. Our email service provider handles messages for delivery and storage. The game does not send support messages or attach saves automatically.
If you submit feedback through Google Play or another testing service, that service handles your submission under its own privacy policy. We receive the feedback and any contact details the service makes available to us.
Support correspondence, including attachments, is retained for up to 90 days after the enquiry is resolved, subject to legal or operational retention requirements. You can ask us to delete correspondence using the contact details below. If we need to retain particular information for longer, we will explain the reason when responding to your request.
You choose what to include in a support request. Please avoid sending passwords, payment details or personal information that is not needed to explain the problem. Deleting local game data does not delete correspondence or feedback held by email and testing services.
Third-party services
Google Play and Android may process information when you install or update the game, use a Google account or use device services. This processing is governed by the relevant provider’s privacy policy and is separate from the game’s local storage.
Email providers, testing services and apps you choose for sharing also handle information under their own terms and privacy policies. Information you send through those services may be stored separately from the game. The game does not connect to an advertising, billing, analytics or online gameplay service.
Children’s privacy
Offline gameplay does not require children or adults to provide personal information to Ztrem. Parents and guardians can supervise the use of device sharing tools and support correspondence.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to us that is not needed for support, contact support@ztrem.co.za so that we can review it and arrange deletion where appropriate.
Security
Local game data uses Android’s app storage and device security features. The game does not provide separate password protection or its own save-encryption service. Please protect access to your device and any accounts used for device backups.
Local progress may be lost if app data is removed or damaged. No storage or backup system can provide an absolute guarantee of security or recovery.
Your information and privacy enquiries
You can contact Ztrem (Pty) Ltd at support@ztrem.co.za to ask about personal information you have supplied to us, request access or correction, or ask for deletion. Please identify the game and the relevant correspondence so that we can locate it. Requests are handled through the support mailbox; there is no player account or online gameplay record to delete.
Clearing app storage removes local game data. Requests about independent copies held by a device backup provider, sharing app or testing service may also need to be directed to that provider. You may raise a privacy complaint with South Africa’s Information Regulator.
Company contact address: 25 Tarentaal Avenue, Three Rivers, Vereeniging, 1929, South Africa.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when the game’s information handling changes. The latest version will be available on this page with a revised last-updated date.
